Piercing the corporate veil to repay creditors
Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd represented the Chapter 11 Trustee for the bankruptcy debtor BHB Enterprises, LLC, doing business as Tycoon’s Gallery of Games.
Our work included piercing the corporate veil to gain access to the assets of the principals of the debtor and obtaining a multimillion-dollar judgment, the proceeds of which were used to pay creditor claims.
We were also able to sell the debtor’s business and recover numerous assets that had been converted by the debtor’s principals.
As the case proceeded, several of the debtor’s principals were prosecuted and incarcerated under various federal criminal charges arising from and related to their actions in the South Carolina bankruptcy case.
