Sarah Clemmons has been a healthcare attorney at the Firm since 2005, and devotes her practice to maximizing clients’ recovery on patient accounts.
Ms. Clemmons began her career as a litigator representing hospitals and physicians. In that role she was exposed to the complexities of the revenue cycle side of healthcare. She now works closely with her clients to develop and implement systems to identify assets and payment sources, and negotiates with liability insurance carriers, patients and their counsel.
Her knowledge of and experience in an essential part of the business of healthcare ultimately helps improve her clients’ financial performance. In addition to debt collection work, she has experience advising clients on hospital staff and disciplinary issues, including fair-hearing procedures, and has assisted with drafting staff by-laws and policies. Ms. Clemmons’ clients include community hospitals, physicians, and veterinarians.
Active in the Greenville community, she is a member of the Upcountry History Museum, Greenville Chamber PULSE, Junior League of Greenville, and St. Matthew United Methodist Church where she has served on the Staff Parish Relations Committee. She is a former member of the board of directors of Pendleton Place for Children and Families and recently served as Board President.
