Philip Land Joins Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd's Greenville Office

Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. is pleased to welcome J. Philip Land as an associate in the firm’s Greenville office.

Philip advises companies on the legal aspects of business operations and transactions, and he assists domestic and international companies by structuring incentives to facilitate new investment and expansion in South Carolina

Prior to joining Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, Philip was the Piedmont Regional Outreach Director for the Office of U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham. In this role, he served as the Senator’s liaison to various constituent groups— including public and private economic development entities, utility providers, municipalities, trade associations, and private businesses. Mr. Land also worked on economic development projects and assisted them in receiving funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. Through this position, Mr. Land was able to develop relationships with and assist elected officials and business owners in solving problems related to federal agencies.

Philip received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2011, where he was the Student Bar Association President, a Compleat Lawyer Award Bronze Medallion recipient, a student mentor of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court and a recipient of the Claud Sapp Award. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Hampden-Sydney College in 2006 and spent a summer in Prague working as an intern for the Fulbright Commission.
