While in law school at the University of South Carolina, Ashley served as the Associate Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Journal of Law and Education. Ashley gained valuable experience in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury during a two-year clerkship with a local law firm, where she participated in the longest criminal trial in South Carolina history.
As an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina, Ashley competed on the women’s cross country team and track and field team. She also completed her Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in health policy, at the University of South Carolina.
