Meet Cameo

Cameo Joseph-McCollum's practice focuses on the defense of healthcare providers.

She defends healthcare systems, hospitals, insurers, physicians, nurses and other clinicians in a wide range of medical negligence claims. She also advises medical professionals on matters of risk management, peer review and attorney-client privilege.

Cameo also advises and represents healthcare providers on professional licensing issues.

In addition, Cameo represents corporate entities and insurance companies in a variety of actions, including premises liability and foster parent liability.

While in law school, Cameo served as a law clerk to the Hon. Clifton B. Newman of the South Carolina Circuit Court, a law clerk to the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission and a law clerk to the University of South Carolina School of Law Clinical Legal Education Department. She served as Vice President of the Black Law Students Association, Director of International Relations of the National Black Law Students Association, board member of the Constitutional Scholars Pipeline Program and liaison to the ABA Center for Racial and Ethnic Diversity.
