Meet Sara

Sara Sykes, an associate in Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd’s Greenville office, represents commercial, construction and healthcare clients. In her transactional work, she advises healthcare providers, including hospitals, long-term care facilities and private practitioners, with practice formation, FDA compliance, HIPAA regulations, professional oversight and professional licensing issues.

Sara’s litigation experience includes representing clients in complex cases, including construction defect disputes, trade secret protections and contract disputes. She also represents clients through various stages of state and federal government investigation and inquiry, particularly those related to the False Claims Act, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback statutes.

Sara regularly drafts organizational documents, employment agreements, service contracts, and provider policies. She also has experience in dealing with construction and commercial contracts, including those using American Institute of Architects (AIA) standards and manufacturing agreements.
 
In law school, Sara served as the Production Editor for the American Bar Association Real Property Trust & Estate Law Journal, the Secretary of the Health Law Society and a member of the Student Bar Association.
