[Webinar] Navigating Workers’ Compensation and the ADA in Today’s Workplace

May 28, 2026

State workers’ compensation laws apply to nearly all employment relationships, most of which are also governed by the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), a federal equal employment opportunity law. Workers’ compensation addresses occupational injuries and diseases, the aggravation of preexisting conditions, medical treatments and disability based on an employee’s ability to earn wages. Areas of overlap with the ADA may arise in the hiring process, in return-to-work orders following a workers’ compensation injury and due to differences in the meaning of “disability” under the respective laws. During our May webinar, Matt Blake will explore the development of workers’ compensation laws, core concepts and their interaction with the ADA.

We invite you to submit any questions via registration or to Raven Guerra.

HSB is an approved SHRM provider, and this course will be submitted for SHRM, HRCI and SC and NC CLE credits.
