Columbia Mayor Proclaims December 13, 2012 Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Day

Firm recognized for 125 years of legal service in the state of South Carolina.

Mayor Steve Benjamin proclaimed, today, December 13th, 2012, Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd Day, recognizing the law firm’s 125 years of legal service and support of the economic growth of Columbia, the Midlands, and South Carolina. The 2:00 p.m. event was held in the firm’s Columbia office, 1201 Main Street, 23rd floor, and included a photo opportunity of the firm’s lawyers with Mayor Benjamin.

The mayor presented John B. McArthur, a member of the law firm’s Management Committee, with a proclamation honoring the firm’s significant strengths and historic presence, not only to the law in South Carolina, but through the lawyers’ community involvement to the lives of its citizens. The firm provides business, litigation, financial legal services, and government relations to national and international clients.

With a history dating back to 1887, Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd is one of the largest law firms in the Carolinas with more than 130 attorneys. In addition to the firm’s Columbia office, there are five other office locations in Charleston, Florence, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, SC, and Washington, DC.
