Robert Knowlton and Bryan Hickey Named as 2025 Best Lawyers® ‘Lawyer of the Year’ for Intellectual Property Law in Greenville and Columbia

Bob, who leads the firm's Corporate Litigation practice group, brings extensive experience to complex litigation in state and federal courts and arbitrations. A certified mediator, he has successfully represented businesses and individuals in intellectual property matters. This marks Bob's fourth time receiving the "Lawyer of the Year" honor for intellectual property litigation in Columbia, having previously been recognized in 2017, 2021 and 2023. Bryan combines legal practice with an engineering background to help clients navigate complex intellectual property challenges. His practice focuses on litigating patent, trademark and copyright claims, where his technical background provides clients with valuable insights. A certified mediator with the South Carolina Circuit Court and a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association®, Bryan has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for intellectual property litigation since 2021. He is also newly listed for patent litigation in 2025.
