Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. is pleased to share that
Christian Lunghi recently helped coach
Campbell Law School's mock trial team to the championship title at the 2026 Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition, held April 11-12 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Christian, a 2023 Campbell Law graduate and associate in HSB’s Raleigh office, competed on the Campbell Law mock trial team and won first place at the Estrella National Mock Trial Competition in 2022. He returned this year as a coach, helping guide the team through one of the strongest pools of competitors in the event's history.
The
Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition (ETAC) is an invitation-only event open to just 14 law school teams from across the United States and Puerto Rico. The competition centers on civil litigation and draws programs recognized for the strength of their advocacy training. Campbell Law's team advanced through the preliminary rounds before defeating Harvard Law in the semifinals and Northwestern Law in the final to claim the title.
"Competing at Estrella as a law student shaped the way I approach advocacy. Being able to come back as a coach and watch this team compete at the highest level was incredibly rewarding," said Christian Lunghi. "The team put in tremendous work throughout the season, and their performance in San Juan speaks for itself. I'm grateful to Campbell Law for the opportunity to stay connected to a program that made such an impact on me."
In his practice, Christian represents clients in construction litigation matters and handles insurance recovery and subrogation claims, creditors’ rights matters and real property disputes. Prior to attending law school, Christian worked as a foreman for a construction company, which provided him with firsthand experience, enabling him to understand his clients’ businesses and provide counsel grounded in real-world construction practices.
